Edexcel:
CDROM to promote ALAN
Edexcel is the UK's leading provider of internationally recognised qualifications.
We have produced a number of CDROMs for Edexcel - who use them for promoting their products to schools and colleges.
This includes a CDROM about the Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy qualification (ALAN).
ALAN is an on-line practice and test resource, especially for students who are failing to achieve the basics in literacy and numeracy through conventional learning.
We recorded interviews with school staff and students, who talked about the difference ALAN was making, and inter-cut these with footage of ALAN being used in the classroom.
We also designed the CDROM packaging as well as a roll-fold leaflet called “Let’s talk about ALAN”.
