Surrey Police:
Child Rescue Alert - introduced by Sir Trevor MacDonald
Child Rescue Alert (CRA) is an emergency plan operated by Surrey Police for recovering children who have been abducted.
CRA depends on the help of the local media to alert the public to help find the child during the crucial "golden hours" after abduction.
Surrey Police needed to promote the scheme to local radio and television stations, as well as schools and social groups in the county.
We wrote and produced a dramatic reconstruction of a boy being abducted from under the eyes of his mother. She alerts the Police, who activate CRA - broadcasting alerts through local radio and television. The abductor is spotted and the boy rescued, unharmed. Sir Trevor MacDonald introduces and narrates the DVD.
The DVD was launch by the Chief Constable of Surrey and key sections were broadcast across the national TV network. Thousands of copies were sent around Surrey.
“The ultimate success of promoting CRA is largely due to the quality of the work you did, and your commitment and support throughout.” Paul Faulkner, Surrey Police
We produced a similar video for Hampshire Police to help launch their CRA scheme.
